It doesn't sound like Joss thinks that is enough, though. StormCrow Send a noteboard - 29/09/2010 03:05:01 PM

This makes me a bit nervous. On the one hand, it's good that they want to focus on characterization rather than just mindless action, but on the other hand...you try to focus on in-depth stories for too many characters, and the film feels crowded, too long, and you end up feeling like you didn't really get to know ANY of the characters due to each of their stories being rushed to fit them all in.

The audience will already be familiar with the character and their backstory, so we won't have to waste time on establishing a character and getting to know them. We can just cut straight to what's interesting about having these characters together. I'm excited.

It seems like he DOES want to delve the characters, despite the earlier movies. Not to mention, him playing up Ruffalo. Nice how they gloss over ditching Norton. They'll have some new ground to cover with the actor change there.

I share the same nervousness that Belals Girl does about how disjointed this could become, simply with the amount of characters they're including. Then we have the Skrulls as villains, right? How much development will be needed there? Not as much as the good guys, but something at least, surely.

I just don't want this to turn into a Spidey 3 / X-men 3.
