The adults disapprove and fear the youth, and really the youth aren't so bad (except that some of them are, like the student that stabbed that teacher in the beginning?)

Actually, it wasn't as gory as it could have been, I'd say. If there was some American remake, I bet it'd be three times as gory.

I got that it was a dystopian society, and I've looked up some background info so it makes more sense, but I still have some questions. I still have no idea who the smart, popular kid that hung himself was.
