that bugs me too, either male vamps are impotent or they get priapism (perma-erection) when sired. any other way makes no sense.
In the book Vampire$, which was adapted into a movie starring James Woods, the vampires actually were impotent. The vampire slayers would giggle and tease the vampires about it.
There is one thing that really, really annoys me.
