Yes. But if we are going by good actors vs bad actors, Neeson beats all (except Alec Guinness) in the first film hands down. I agree that the lines are atrocious. The real quality of McGregor and Neeson (and Guinness in the older) is that they actually manage to say them as if they were things one could say.
but I think the lines they are saying in the original films are far more natural for the characters, rather than good actors doing their best with bad lines. Lucas just can't write realistic interactions.
