It's a very untraditional movie and that isn't a "Oh look at how cool I am because I like snotty movies and you don't" statement. I just mean that it's not for everyone and it is definitely not a standard horror film which is what I was expecting going in.
I found myself bored at times throughout the film but I saw it months ago and I still find myself internally arguing over it I can't tell if it is a love story or a use/abuse story. I think that is part of the beauty of the film. It absolutely could go either way.
An there is a little bit about Eli that you may have missed if you weren't paying very close attention. I don't want to spoil it here, but NB me if you are interested.
