I'm a fan of Shyamalan's work up through and including Lady in the Water. I'm pretty sure that puts me in a minority, but I loved his style.
Same here.
However, then came The Happening, which is one of the worst, most lifeless, most uninspiring films I've ever seen, to the point where I couldn't even finish watching it. From the sound of it, Last Airbender is just as bad, and that is a goddamn shame, because the original animated series is brilliant.
I finished it and wished I didn't
Now I'll probably skip Airbender at the cinema. I know that fandoms can be excessively critical and can't be trusted, but this really sounds bad.

My son wants to see it too. I'm glad that Toy Story 3 is more appealing for this weekend!
