Russel is trying to become the King of Lousiana, too. She ought to be thankful. And we really don't know enough about vampire politics to judge. But considering that they're ruthless bloodsuckers it's more likely that no one would care.
Well he did say he was going to try to marry her. So he's not (ATM) a threat to the Queen. He may try blackmailing her into the union but it can also be advantagious to the Queen to be ruler of two states as well. Which she doesnt get if Bill goes rouge and kills Russel in his on home on his own turf, surrounded by his own army of vampires and wolves. In fact, I'm going to call that the main reason. Bill isn't stupid enough to kill the King in the middle of his own castle.
Marriage is really not a proof of anything when you're a vampire Queen And I think that Bill certainly could get mad enough to kill the King, but won't actually do it because he isn't that suicidal. The King would be the one doing the killing if they fought, I'm sure.
And remember the price Bill had to pay for killign Chow to save Sookie. Even if he wasn't torn limb from limb by the Mississippi vamps, I have to imagine there is a MUCH higher punishment for killing a royal. And I still say Sophy Ann would kill him for the embarrassment of one of hers getting caught.
And I think she'd be very pleased that Russel is definitely dead. One point for Lousiana.
Russel seemed to be saying that Bill was sent by the Queen to Bon Temps, or at least that the Queen was okay with that. In the book that was exactly the case. Sophie-Anne sent Bill to BT to get to know Sookie, perhaps became her bf, so that she could use Sookie's telepathic abilities to her advantage if need be. Will we find out that Bill's affection is fake? I hope not.
Agreed. It's an important plot point to the books later down the line so I hope it stays the same here.
The Bill in True Blood seems to have a lot more personality and heart than the rather distant Bill from the books. I don't see it fitting very well.
Also, Franklin Mott. In the books he was a pretty bad guy, beat Tara up and so on. She really shouldn't have to go through that so soon after Eggs and all. Of course we didn't get a very rosy picture about him.
Yeah I was trying to remember all the stuff about him. I'm fairly sure he was just an abusive ass. Not lord master of evil Weres though that will be cool. But poor Tara. Two serial killers back to back. I hope they wipe her memory after...
One detail I would like to know. What language do Godric and Eric use between them? Something Nordic obviously. I speak Swedish shoddily, and it's quite understandable. But the accent is odd (Godric pronounces fader as fat?er) but I guess that could be just a matter of taste. If they wanted to be historically correct, they should speak Old Norse, I guess. The actor who plays Godric is Danish. That, I think, sounds like you're trying to speak Swedish while vomiting.
Well the closed captioning said it was Swedish. Alexander's a Swede so I hope he knows what he's saying.
