A black kid as Peter Parker is tantamount to the Blaxpoitation flicks popularized in the '70s.
There is not a good reason to do it. There are many excuses, but like Stan Lee said, a LOT of people know who and what is Peter Parker. This is not a minor character or someone who is part of a team. This is freaking Spiderman.
And to reboot the franchise inside a decade is just plain stupid. The first and second movies were very well done. The third suffered from many-villain-syndrome. I think what they need to do, if anything, is find a way to bring Venom back and play with Venom quite a bit. Or bring in Carnage. Either works for me.

Castle: This is so weird. I dressed up as him for Halloween.
Beckett: Me too.

About the same way I'd feel about a black bond - it's ridiculous.
