Believe me, after Avatar I will never see a movie in 3D if I have a choice. However, because there's going to be more profit by forcing people to watch 3D, more and more theaters will start showing 3D films, and fewer and fewer theaters will offer 2D versions.

I don't agree that only bad films without plot or characters get the 3D treatment. That's a rather hollow claim. But like I also said, they gotta make sure it stays that way and it doesn't get too much with too many shitty films.


I'm not saying people take bad films and put them into 3D. I'm saying 3D, like special effects in general, creates bad films by replacing cinematic quality with awesome explosions. There are good films with good special effects, but there aren't many. There are, to my knowledge, no good 3D movies.
