If I see a film in 3d I don't want things jumping out at me, they did that in the 80's and I find it a gratuitous way to use the effects.
I also saw the depth of every shot in Avatar as its attraction rather than adhoc crap coming at me when it suits the scene

I can see the depth of a scene on my TV here at home. Why spend the extra money to see it a little more clearly in the theater? Or, God forbid, paying thousands of dollars to buy a TV with that same little bit of extra depth? I was born in '87 so I didn't get to see those movies on the big screen. These "3D movies" are just a crock of shit designed to get more money from the movie goers. Like I said though, "matter of opinion."
Kirk: Spock, you want to know something? Everybody’s human.
Spock: I find that remark…insulting.

I haven't seen anything in 3D since 3rd Rock From the Sun had an episode.

Interesting. I thought I was the only one who didn't care about 3-D.
