The UK is four (or maybe five) episodes in to the most recent series and I'm really liking the fact that it has the mass hanging scene as part of the opening scenes, at the same times as we keep geting shown how Colonel Gaddafi's big party involved an alomst identical hanging scene. Love that.
I do like that it actualy teaches people some real history that people don't realise though - that Henry was a young and athletic man once, before his injury took a toll on him.

As Del points out, there's also some serious liberties taken with history though. But yeah, it's an interesting period. I have to admit the main reason I like the show is Natalie Dormer, though... Whereas Rhys-Meyers kind of annoys me, but then that's probably the character.
Oh, cardinal Wolsey was really good in season one too, I must say. Good job from Sam Neill (I think?) there.
