I was a bit worried about the new doctor but I have been very pleasantly surprised! I may even like him more than David Tennant! Feels a bit odd, that.
I was optimistic from the outset. I think that it was just because Tennant's last few outings had irritated me so much though. (It wasn't 'til I saw a few of his older episodes recently that I remembered how good he was)
Apart from the sauce of a recent episode, I really like the chemistry and relationship between the Doctor and Amy. Gosh.

Amy is easily my favourite companion since the series restarted, though maybe not quite so much in the Venetian episode.
