So as I said to ranagrande in the above subthread, I'm a member of the Night Watch. Our objective is to prevent the scum from killing other players during the Night - which is why I said that my role was unambiguously pro-town - and are victorious only if enough Nights go by without that happening - which is why I said I didn't need to lynch anybody to win, though obviously catching the scum would be beneficial.

Incidentally, if you think that everyone else who claimed not to need to lynch anyone to win is also part of the Watch you would be mistaken. Obviously, there are too many for that.

Our faction doesn't have a night kill, we operate through prevention - our faction can lock up players, simultaneously roleblocking them and making them harder to target. Individual members also have their own abilities. I have a roleblocking-related ability similar to Stephen's - giving other players a -1 on Night Actions.

The first rule of being a ninja is "do no harm". Unless you intend to do harm, then do lots of harm.
