Time seemed to go slower the longer they had been in the room together. The Earth man, the Drazi in his military uniform, the two Narns. They all looked suspiciously at each other. Even the two Narns, pouch brother and sister, started to have second thoughts.
The Earth man was the worst off. He just sat there, brooding, looking at the sproadic discussion the other three had. He didn't even notice when the final piece of information clicked with the Narn female and she and her brother rounded on the Drazi. He didn't notice anything. His mind slipped deeper in himself, deeper and finally just let go.
In the middle of their argument, the other three were startled when they heard the soft sound of a body hitting the floor. The Narn male, L’arr, walked over to the body, kicked it hard and rounded on his sister.
"L'anda, you have had dealings with the Earthers. Is this normal? He looks like he just dropped, but even they can't be this weak."
L'anda looked down at the body. With disgust she said, "And this is the strongest the Psi Corps has to offer? Can't even handle a few days in confin...". She didn't know what made he trun around. A sound below hearing? Instincts? The breath of air in her neck? In lightning reflexes, she blocked the Drazi's fist before it connected with her neck, kicked in his throat and before L'arr could land his kick, the Drazi dropped on the floor.
(Cut scene. Captain's office)
"On behalf of Babylon 5, we thank you for stopping this theft." John Sheridan said. "It would have been disastrous. I had my doubts, but this shows again how much we should just trust in Garibaldi's measures."
The chief looked up. "Of course you should trust me. It's what I'm here for. Now he learns."
Behind the captain, Ambassador Delenn stepped up. It was jarring for the Narns to see this Minbari-who-is-not-Minbari for the first time. "My government thanks you. We mourn for the terrible loss of life, but yes, I am glad we have followed Garibaldi's advice. It would have been disastrous if this information would have fallen in Centauri hands."
==================
The Town has won.
As per the rules, a Modkill does not end the day. I wanted to move on, as this was not going anywhere anymore. The VNTL was changed with Yuna's modkill, which made the Vote go against Bergioyn. Sorry it had to go down like this, Bergioyn, you were a great player who worked tirelessly for the Thieves and you nearly made it.
I will post roles, role messages and how the Nights went down in about an hour.
Thanks for playing all, I had a blast. It was exciting to see it from this end.
Dannymac and galadriel3562: you did great for new players. I hope you had fun and will join us again. I hope you weren't too frustrated with the differences between tabletop and internet play, Dannymac. And no: I was not actively trying to kill you, even if it looked like that.
And you did make some rookie mistakes, galadriel3562, but honestly, this did safe the day. So you got some credits for that. And an extra 1,000 credits for stepping in and replacing another player.
