Day 2: “Life is life, whether it's wrapped in skin, scales, or feathers! Now if you respected these beings instead of constantly trying to murder them, you'd appreciate that!" – Doctor Stephen Franklin
The lights flicker on and all those in the brig blink with their eyes. A security guard walks in. Fortunately, he’s more observant than you all, because he did notice that one did not stand up. He calls for the medical bay, for Doctor Stephen Franklin. He’s the only one with enough knowledge on xenobiology for this case.
The medical team rushes in, with all bells and whistles. The pak’ma’ra is lifted on the bed, but the conclusion is clear: he’s dead. Franklin turns to the security guard.
“He was hit on a weak spot on his back. Not many people know about that spot with pak’ma’ra. Interesting. At least it was quick and painful, but it’s what you get for locking a group of people without security together in one room.”
“Yeah, well, the Chief seems to think this is the best way of finding the thieves. And we trust him.”
They walk out, and only the security guard looks back over his shoulder. Once.
