Voting in favour of MacMasters’ proposal
- would permanently increase all players’ income by 400 M credits every round.
Voting against MacMasters’ proposal
- would add 10 assets to the next auction, all of them Outer Colonies, either Mining Facilities, Vespene Refineries or rare assets.
Basic data here, a yes gets us each 400 income, a total of 2800 injected into the game each round. A no puts 10 assets, probably around 7000 income, into play to be purchased. Difference being the 2800 is income that need not be defended and is nominally immune to attack, seizure, etc.
To me, the No-Vote to continue the conflict and seize those assets is most logical. For one thing, this is not a strictly competitive game, there will be neutral parties or ones openly hostile to all players that will best be confronted by maximum resources, but where it is competitive, a +400 to all is not very helpful while an ability to acquire more assets at auction is.

I'd be dubious that it was one of us trying for the quarantine though
