Just to clarify, 3 phases in each round, the new auction for late items means we're in Phase 2, when that closes and the Looming Crisis starts we enter Phase 3. Phase 1 for a round starts when I post the Crisis, early auction, etc
You'll get your Phase Reports shortly - Needless to say you should check them personally, I'm still organizing how I sift data so mistakes are entirely probable, I may have missed actions or copied something wrong, etc
What about any income generated by the stuff we purchase during a round? Does it start leading into the next round or do we have to wait until the end of the next round?
Everything generates revenue after all other actions and votes resolve, effectively in the indeterminate moment of temporal limbo between rounds, it's the very last thing that happens in a round. Whoever controls an item, for whatever reason (had it all round, bought it, seized it) gets that income with two exceptions... raids redirect half or all the income to the raider if successful, and a damaged facility is effectively non-existent for income and similar abilities while damaged. e.g. Damaged weapons factories don't generate a Token, a Fremen controlled Spice asset wouldn't be usable for Fedaykin generation the following round, etc. So everything you own this round, whether you started with it, just bought it, or just seized it will produce its income normally, and you get it, so long as it isn't damaged or raided. It actually produces the same income if it's raided just the raider gets it, so if you raid some place and come away with more than expected that tell ya something.
Edit: another question: will Standard Assets we purchase this round count for the Aye and Nay results of the Crisis?
Yes, as do planets. Also since your edit makes me think of it - no, I'm not enforcing any editing rules though excessive editing is frowned on. The reason it's mentioned in the Primer for RPG board newbs, and only there, is specifically to alert newbs that routine edits for misspell and grammar are frowned on or banned in much of the board. Excessive editting is frowned on here. And you can't edit an Outcry bid obviously except for gross 'oops' like last bid 2150 MS, new bid
Bid 22000
becomes
The game operates on 'clear intent' in most things, a bid of 2150 MS followed by one of 22,000 MS is not 'clear', and if another player swoops in with 2200 or 2250 that would be considered the new value for others until it was resolved, players making massive bids deliberately should make their intent clear, i.e.
"Bid 22,000 - Yes seriously, Twenty-Two Thousand."
Otherwise, so long as nobody gets mega-excessive with editing, well there's no reason to ban it, you can send covert messages to other players by using minimal action points so I can't think of any way they'd mess with things. I would point out the obvious, that if someone specifically want to get my attention editing a message to include a question should be done rapidly after the original post or the player should put (edit) in the title, and its just as easy to make a new post most times, I rarely reread messages. This ruling would be subject to change if it becomes clear it is grossly exploitable but I can't see how it would be.
