Name: Anehta Al'Yaffire (ah-NEE-tah al-yah-FEER)
Age: 32
Personality: Although she has no temper to speak of, and
is always ready to laugh, she does have a tendency to speak however she bloody well flaming pleases.
Physical description: 5"2', dark hair and eyes, apple-cheeked and plump, hair is properly braided
What is your status? : Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah
History: Anehta was raised in a good-sized village off the Caemlyn Road. The only daughter of a prosperous merchant, Anehta was brought up to be a shrewd and disciplined bargainer. She read war and battle histories because it was what her father had above the mantle. She dreamed of fighting and winning great battles as a result. Being a young girl, her two older brothers constantly teased her over these dreams and fancies. Eventually she gave up on those thoughts and began to learn the family business. She steadily and deftly achieved goals put before her. As a teenager, she realized that if she focused on the small emerald in her necklace, she could hear what was being discussed while she was out of the room. The implications of this new-found ability were immediately apparent to her. Her bargaining ability soared beyond belief and she made several very good bargains with out-lander merchants for her father. After deferring to luck or circumstantial conversation enough times, her parents pressed her for the truth. When she told them the real reason, however, they seemed to be non-plussed. Her father told her in a disappointed tone that bargaining was the skill of out-maneuvering your opponent by reading nuances and observing behavior, not cheating to find out what prices they had agreed on ahead of time. Her mother's reaction was to severely caution Anehta that under no circumstances was she to ever eavesdrop again. That very same night, Anehta used her trick to listen to what her parents had to say after she had gone to bed. She learned that her maternal great grandmother, Saresa, had had the same ability as herself. As soon as she had been discovered by an Aes Sedai, Saresa had been packed off to the White Tower. Fifteen years later, her family was notified that Saresa had been killed in an accident involving the One Power. Anehta's parents were going to try to hide her ability so she would not be sent to the Tower. Anehta was shocked to learn that she could channel. She had heard enough gleeman's stories to realize that she *might* become a powerful woman. Before she fell asleep that night, she was already envisioning her newest goal: becoming an Aes Sedai. After leaving her parents a note the next afternoon, she set out with the last merchant train headed for Tar Valon. Anehta was a Novice for 7 years and an Accepted for 6 years. After attaining the shawl and choosing the Green Ajah, Anehta was prepared to finally realize the dream of fighting in battle. However, she had not been out of the Tower for a year when Siuan Sanche was deposed and it seemed as though the world had begun turning upside down. Because she was new to the shawl, she had not yet bonded a Warder, though she is now considering an option or two. She located and remained with the Salidar Aes Sedai, as much for protection as to oppose Elaida's behavior.... until recently, when she left for reasons known only to her.
