This is what streaming any content has always been; you are subject to the whims of the content provider. No one can censor my physical books short of breaking into my home with armed force and physically destroying them (or otherwise destroying them, such as destroying the entire home).

But a few years ago anyone who watches the Simpsons on Disney Plus lost the ability to see the Michael Jackson episode because Matt Groening watched a documentary and decided Jackson was a predator and he didn't want that available anymore. And don't even get me started on George Lucas (though if he redid the Disney produced shit perhaps it might become watchable at least).

I own a Kindle Oasis, but it is only for reading on airplanes or while away from home. For everything else, I have my library.

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

– Procopius

I've heard a rumor that Amazon is going to start stealing your purchased books. - 18/02/2025 01:00:30 AM 47 Views
