My view is pretty much the opposite - while season 1 was indeed a failure, it also had good elements and mitigating circumstances for some of the weak points. In season 2 the good elements in the writing were even rarer (off the top of my head, Elayne and... that's about it) and they had no excuses anymore for being that bad. I really can't wrap my head around people who think the second season was better, or at least not when it's book fans who think that.

Anyway, I don't think I'll bother watching season 3, no.
The way they did Rand dirty throughout the entire season, culminating in the horror of Falme where they wouldnt even let him take on Ishamael on his own. And so many other annoying things. Like Moiraine seemingly having lost her powers. I can't with it all.
