Human reasoning is complicated. I can't say I have never found myself lacking sympathy for the death of someone who "needed killin.'" Jeffrey Dahmer getting beaten to death in prison comes to mind.
What I find ridiculous is viewing the scion of one of the richest families in Baltimore as some sort of class warfare hero. I am also skeptical that he personally was denied care needed for his spinal condition, since he obviously had the surgery and could well afford to pay out of pocket if needed. He had a misaligned spine. The surgery may not have given him any relief. The chronic pain was such that, by his own admission, he couldn't get laid.
Call me a cynic but this doesn't strike me as awakening to the struggle of the oppressed working class.
