The thing is that Joe knows Hunter got a job with Burisma so that Burisma could have leverage with Joe. Joe knows it was bribery. Joe got money as part of the bribery. He bragged about contravening Congressional aid until and unless Ukraine fired the prosecutor investigating Burisma. The quid pro quo is already admitted by Biden. If he weren't old and losing his mind, I think Trump's DOJ would go after him for that.
The thing is that when Trump asked legitimate and founded questions about the whole Burisma thing, Eric Ciaramella (aka "Pajama Boy" ) got a call from that fucker Vindman and started an impeachment hearing against Trump.
The Dems said that Trump should be impeached because he (1) improperly withheld Congressional aid to Ukraine in exchange for information on Burisma, (2) the accusations were baseless, and (3) it was done for political reasons.
If (1) were improper, then Biden himself should have been impeached, as well as countless Presidents who have used executive power to slow or halt Congressional funds to foreign countries as part of legitimate foreign policy.
Intent for (3) could not be proven, so either it was ok for him to do it if he could show a valid reason or any act against a political enemy is ipso facto improper. If the former, he had a valid reason. If the latter, then Senators Cory Booker, Liz Warren, Amy Klobuchar and others should have recused themselves from voting, because they were voting to remove a sitting President they were campaigning against for political advantage.
And that gets us to the heart of this: part (2). Trump was impeached for investigating real corruption on the part of the Bidens. I don't care who else might be corrupt and the "whataboutism" that flows from that. The fact is that it's now been fairly convincingly proven that the Biden family was a corrupt bribes for action enterprise. Joe pardoning Hunter after saying he wouldn't is just the final nail in the coffin of Biden's reputation.
Trump is owed an apology for that and yes, I agree with Elon that Vindman is a traitor, Ciaramella should never be allowed near government activity again (he's probably a CIA plant at the think tank he's at, sadly), and the media should finally admit the level of Biden corruption.
Yeah I agree with you. Ten years ago was when Hunter began his relationship with Burisma. The connection is so obvious it's laughable. Which is why the "Trump is so unique in his level of corruption" take amuses me so much. He's far from unique and probably not close to the most venal President ever. Believing otherwise is naivety.
