Rude metaphor, here is Bryan Cogman who “consulted” for 20 weeks on Lore Roland00 Send a noteboard - 20/09/2024 06:50:53 PM

here is Bryan Cogman on Rings of Power for 10 minutes before talking Return of the King the 2000s movie (organizes this as a list) it is relevant this audio podcast I am going to link to at the very end of the post

but first resume… who is Bryan?

• Bryan was “consulted” for 20 weeks on Lore with Rings of Power season 1
• but did not write any of the episodes for RoP
• has not even seen all the season 1 episodes of ROP
• who also was the guy in the HBO game of thrones show who

wrote the series bible outlining character and background information for the rest of the cast & crew to consult, and was known as the unofficial "keeper of the mythos" for the show

• did the season 1 dvd extras Histories and Lore of Game of Thrones https://gameofthrones.fandom.com/wiki/Histories_%26_Lore:_Season_1
(seasons 2 to 8 are a different writer Dave Hill for the Histories and Lore)

• and wrote 11 episodes of GoT and was promoted up the various producers to co executive producer

======

Well today he guest stared as the guest for the Podcast Like It’s 2000s a movie podcast which is also about culture zeitgeist of a time. And today the movie is Return of the King (they have done other years in the past like 1992 and 1999)

now it literally just dropped today so I have not heard the entire thing but in the first 10 minutes Bryan is DISHING and he literally says he thinks he was just hired so Amazon can put on posters from one of the producers of game of thrones.

• And if that happen then congrats to Bryan! Collect that money, how much is Bezos putting into RoP? Like over a billion dollars now with the multiple seasons. Get paid $$$

And now back to work with me, and I will be listening to Emily St. James (I adore her) later tonight while doing some shopping.

...what do you think of Jackson's LotR trilogy? There's a whole lot of change going on there. *NM* - 17/09/2024 02:34:30 AM 23 Views

I don't know. I remember seeing message boards when the films came out. - 18/09/2024 03:10:06 AM 38 Views

Also there should have been a Tom Bombadil scene *NM* - 20/09/2024 11:24:51 AM 14 Views
I think Peter Jackson & co. actually liked LotR - 17/09/2024 02:57:08 PM 43 Views
Yes, this. - 17/09/2024 10:39:27 PM 43 Views
I just rewatched the last two Hobbit movies - those are sort of inbetween I guess. - 18/09/2024 09:01:01 PM 38 Views
Exactly my point. It's not about the canon. The films get the canon wrong left and right, too. - 20/09/2024 11:26:00 AM 37 Views
That's not what I meant precisely - for me the canon is still important. - 20/09/2024 06:44:10 PM 42 Views

Why did I not notice you post this on 'The Silmarillion' day of the 15, Sept ? *NM* - 19/09/2024 10:45:42 PM 11 Views
Because this show is about as relevant to the Silmarilion as NAMBLA is to Gay Pride? *NM* - 20/09/2024 04:59:28 PM 16 Views
