So it's not only Americans' taste that you're deprecating here.

I've seen several comments recently about how Disney / other companies are producing content that people think is not as well aimed at American audiences as they'd like - so seemed worth reminding everyone that for basically a century, Hollywood has been targeting not only American audiences but also international ones. Though certainly it depends on the type of movie - but the Marvel ones, yes, definitely aimed at a global audience.
