Something that's really bothered me for almost 35 years aerocontrols Send a noteboard - 25/08/2024 01:51:54 AM

Before this place shuts down, I just want to correct the record:

The theme song to the 1990 movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, titled 'Turtle Power!' (sometimes Turtle Power), and written by James Alpern and Richard Usher (Partners in Kryme), who apparently know little-to-nothing of the work of Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, has the following bit of lyrics:

Splinter's the teacher, so they are the students
Leonardo, Michaelangelo, and Donatello
Make up the team with one other fellow Raphael
He's the leader of the group

Transformed from the norm by the nuclear goop

I just feel it's finally time to set the record straight. Raphael is not, and has never been, the leader of the Turtles, and certainly not in 1990. Leo is. At best, the two had an argument over leadership during the movie, but Leo was NOT replaced. For Cripe's sakes! Who makes a mistake like that? What a slap in the face to the TMNT fandom! You finally get a TMNT motion picture and YOU BLEW IT!

I'm sorry if this got a bit heated, but enough is enough! I'm exhausted with this woke revisionist garbage where we pretend it's ok to artist-swap the leadership of a team that saved the city MULTIPLE times from threats both terrestrial and extra-terrestrial. Show some forking respect!

Hollywood has the best moral compass, because it has compassion.
