From what the talking heads say, extra time is usually boring. Teams are afraid to be exposed after putting the effort. They tried using "sudden death" to motivate them but that made it worse.
The world cup final had an amazing extra time but perhaps it's an outlier.
That’s bizarre, the idea that the fans don’t like the extra time. I prefer the European rules.
