Certainly there are cases where my failure to finish a show has its advantages - notably, for me Game of Thrones is still a brilliant show, as I haven't seen the final season (nor the one before that even) and certainly don't intend to.

Though yeah, late additions like that don't necessarily even qualify as part of the show anymore. The later additions to Veronica Mars, while not quite such travesties as that seems to be, were also not nearly as good as the original show.
