Yes it's a stupid comment because Jefferson, at least, would be all for overthrowing a government that exceeded the Constitutional limits.

But is that your point? Or is it a Trump defense?

If as a conservative, you are supporting Trump, you must know that The Donald is no more of a true conservative than he is anything else. He spent most of his life as a NYC liberal Democrat until he realized that he was only one of thousands and his path to any kind of political power had to lie elsewhere. So he "became" a conservative Republican, since that was the straightest path to personal power, which is the only thing he cares about.

Yes Biden sucks. But so does Trump. They both need to be put out to pasture.

This country has never had a truly conservative President in my lifetime, and I'm 70 years old. Barry Goldwater would have been one, but he lost. Ronnie? He was another one who didn't live up to his so-called conservative bona fides. The next true conservative elected will be the first since Hoover.
