I have no idea what the phrase "making things up" is implying here. What did I make up? The sentences within the quotes? That was clearly the intent there. I'm not even remotely hinting anyone actually said that. Why is this not clear to you?
Lies like this:
The hosts are angry and post about their hurt feelings on social media. You are all anti-vegan, anti-animal rights, and climate change science deniers

Not really. How's this different from informing the hosts their vegan meal felt like a bait and switch?
