Groomer is now banned on Twitter. A lot of people have already been censured now, including people calling out actual groomer.

Interestingly, to your point about negatively effecting the LGBT community, one consequence of this decision was the censuring of Gays Against Groomers...

Now that it's happened, I stand by my opinion that this is a bad road to go on.

This Jaimee Michell Lady, the founder of the group you just mention, has a sorid social media history. Real creepy conspiracy stuff full of Islamophobia, QAnon, Stop the Steal, Covid flat out denying (saying there is no sickness at all) and other nonsense. Of course Jaimee Michell says it was not her, just her user account, and her ex had access to it and likely was posting that stuff.

I really do not have an opinion on her as a person, but thanks for demonstrating my point. There is some sick stuff out there, and yes I can be critical and distrustful of the intermediaries (key word mediator) yet we live in social media, a medium*, and it is not healthy to have these interface layers where pure poison gets through and it is a free for all.

*notice all these similar words and variants, medium from Latin’s word for middle.
