I reactivated my account just because there are from time to time things I want to know about. But mostly it's people who are self-absorbed to the point of clinical illness talking about themselves and things that no one really honestly cares about, surrounded by other people encouraging them because it allows those others to do the same without feeling that they're being shallow narcissists (they still are). I stopped posting and I definitely stopped wasting time on the polemics, though I get the feeling most people are burned out on that and realized a long time ago that the hyperbole (i.e., "Is Trump going to end the world or just the US?" ) convinces no one and their arguments were just repeating the stupidity of the media.

I ignore politics on there as much as I can. I do from time to time post something politics adjacent but even then I try not to.
