For me Shienaran culture was chivalrous bordering on misandrist.
Not that men are bad, but that it sometimes seemed like they are almost not worth consideration. Whenever anything bad happened, suspicious eyes would fall on the TR boys as southern males ignorant of proper decorum.
It was an interesting setting but also served as a way to increase tension by limiting Rand's options.
All this seems to be gone from the show. Starting from the soldiers giving a prolonged greeting to Lan before acknowledging Moiraine who is standing right there in front of them. Agelmar's bravado as Cannoli pointed out, etc.
She's about to give birth, actually having contractions, and moreover she's only Aiel by adoption, having spent a handful of years learning to fight that way, as opposed to growing up in that culture. Having her defeat one guy, ok, but that was absurd.
Also, at some point somebody shouts her name, I'm confused what that was supposed to mean... the Aiel probably wouldn't call her by that name and anyway no Aiel appears after that, and surely the Illian soldiers wouldn't randomly recognize her and call her name?
We didn't get to see a whole lot of their culture obviously, but what exactly was your issue with it? Didn't really mind it, but I may have missed something.
