estimate on time period movie was released as well as time period the movie took place in would be helpful.
Also, where the movie took place.
King Lear but it doesn't feel like what you are remembering... His sons were not his enemies. Ran is based on King Lear plot but isn't quite the same either. But i could dismiss these outright if they don't match your remembered time period of the film or where it possibly took place.
