How do you think the US is doing? Are we suffering the most?
Suffering is subjective. It's not measurable. Are we suffering more than Italy? More than Brazil? More than India?
My manager and friend at work had his mother die from COVID in India. He went back for a month to spend a week with her before she passed and help cope with the aftermath. He has two uncles who are medical officials so they were able to obtain waivers. But the average Indian family does not get the body released to them if the family member dies of COVID in the hospital. This means they are unable to conduct the required rituals for Hindu burial. Does that mean they are suffering worse than we are?
It's not a simple answer.
