View original postAlthough I should add that I'm doing a very slow stop-and-start WoT reread, currently on LoC - my opinion on BS' books vs RJ's might still shift a bit once I get there. But the way I recall them now, they were decent enough. Whereas Game of Thrones, well, the parts that I've seen (until somewhere season four) were actually quite good, at times even brilliant, but by all accounts it jumped the shark big time before the end. And in any case, WoT is a rather different series and will require a different approach than aSoIaF - which hopefully the actual WoT series creators appreciate.
