You wouldn't necessarily understand. But maybe you would. Please, share, if you do.
I do not.
Greg was talking about clubs of a certain type, his username is about a real life bird that stores food via impaling insects, plus a Dan Simmons robot / monster character, yadda, yadda, yadda.
But why some people are into impalement...well first there is art. But second there are different nerve types that communicate touch, balance, bodily awareness type. These nerves have different speeds and they reroute information where one sensory nerve overrules the other type of sensory nerve when triggered. Sharp needle pain is different than blunt force long term pain.
These different nerve speeds also go to different pain areas of the brain, frontal lobe, parietal lobe, brain stem, and cerebellum. Sharp Pain, a certain type of cold pain, causes your brain not to use the frontal lobe instead using the cerebellum and the brain stem to both move away from the pain but also to change levels of neurotransmitters and hormones without conscious control. Aka your brain is not in control you are on for the ride. Thus some people like to experience the lack of control in a controlled setting much like a theme park rollercoaster ride.
I am not saying this is me, I am just a nerd.
