He doesn't understand how revolting his platform and history are to the majority of Americans. Or how stupid his platform is. Cancel student debt? How about understand what is going on at colleges and see what can be done to control the costs at these modern day Club Meds. People made smart decisions to go to their local in state universities and graduate with less debt than people who chose to to to out of state private universities. And so now the prudent people will watch as people who made bad life choices are bailed out by the government. Yeah, right.
Medicare for All? Sanders wants to take away the private health insurance of over 100 million people? Yeah that's a winning strategy.
Adlai Stevenson, George McGovern, Walter Mondale, Michael Dukakis. All lost. Bernie Sanders, the millionaire socialist, will lose too.
Sanders is not getting more voters to the polls. There is no Democratic voter surge for him. And while the Centrists remain divided, Sanders will get a plurality by July. But it won't help him. The leaders of the Democratic Party will have to weigh whether it's better to lose for four years to Trump or possibly lose both the presidency and House in 2020. It was not the extremists who helped turned the House blue in 2018. It was moderates.

Also, there is this lovely piece in today's NYT.
Plus Sanders is the same kind of hypocrite who will say what he thinks the primary voters want to hear. Immigration especially he used to be for more closed borders and less immigration. Why? Because fewer people means that employers here will be forced to pay higher wages for the employees available. Unrestricted immigration is not friendly to workers here already.
So the way I see it, the majority of Democratic primary voters don't want Sanders. The majority of the country certainly doesn't want Sanders. Trump 2020 it will be. Unless the DNC follows through and nominates according to the will of the majority of primary voters and chooses either Biden or Bloomberg as the nominee.
