The thing is, the last two or three books I've only read the one time, so I've forgotten a lot of what happens in those. And really, although I've read the earlier ones probably four times or so by now, so much happens that I'd forgotten a lot of that too... so the reread is interesting.
I agree, there's a lot I feel like I missed... or glossed over... and I am still being surprised by stuff I didn't pay attention to before.
This time, I'm re-reading and listening to podcasts around the same ish time so I feel like I'm absorbing it more than I did in the past... because I just read it and didn't really pay attention to theories and discussion and stuff.
It's kind of neat listening to other peoples take on the characters/events... but I do wish they'd pay more attention to pronunciation...
