I agree there are various ways the US government is wasteful. Fighting that is obviously right.
But there are two points worth considering: there are many ways the US government is efficient, especially compared to many other nations. Coming from an incredibly inefficient and bureaucratic country, I can tell you from personal experience that the US government is far from being so inefficient that reforming it is hopeless.
Which brings me to my second point: government inefficiency shouldn't be a reason to give up on government. It should be reason to... increase government efficiency. Push for reforms to do that. I doubt anyone is going to oppose that.
