Nope these are Gen Z (mostly), maybe a small percent of the tail end of Millenials.

There are several definitions of Millennial, but Pew defines it as 1981-1996. This is the years most organizations that actually do research and surveying use and has standardized on. I can't speak for "common man internet people" which are unmoored to any definition with precision or accuracy. Many common man people just like the term for they see it as an insult for the "young-ems."

So millennial being 1981-1996 means they were 5 to 20 when Sept 11 happened, and 20 to 35 when Nov 2016 election happened, 21 to 36 when the survey was taken, and 22 to 37 today.

But remember instead of using the ages of the survey or the term college student you get far more clicks via the sharing multipler if you use the term "millennials" even if this is bad news coverage.
