I have more respect (well, less disrespect) for Islamic terrorists than I do these shitheads.
Also, your "basic understanding" is, uh, incredibly comprehensive, since I'd had no clue these assholes even existed. So, thanks for the crash course on something that lessened my faith in humanity.
I come from a shitty family (on both sides), and lots of toxic people "live in my family." The worse are 2nd order or further removed from me (cousins, uncles, etc) but this same toxicity also inhabits my 1st order parents but my parents are far less bad that some of my more extended relatives. (A mixture of shit and love)
But when your parents are both catholic and have a total of 6 siblings on one side and 5 siblings on the other (3 of which are adopted and even had worse life experiences, 2 biological)...yadda yadda yadda, my point is you see things.
And you become hyper aware of toxic cultures and you know a loose thing of how these toxic culture works and these toxic cultures go in cycles where toxicity almost always exists but each toxic culture has its ebs and flows... so when ones are becoming more powerful / promient you learn their superficial things...well because it is a survival mechanism...learn enough about them and then get the hell away from them but also try to help people you care about get away from them.

I really do not know much about incels but I have known they exist since 2014 when Gamergate and other things were happening and incels but also other toxic masculinity groups were doing shitty stuff.
Some of the stuff though I did not know until I read this vox article which goes more in detail, I will link it below. (For example I did not know about Stacy and Chad till the vox article)

But yeah I have lived a privileged life not because I am unaware of these toxic things like many forms of privilege allow you to be. (It is a privilege to not be attached to how shitty the world can be at times) But because I was given enough resources to escape from much of the shitiness so I considered myself "twice blessed" I also recognized my duty, my responsibility, to try to give these same "gifts from heaven" to other people, like I was given many opportunities from strangers yet these strangers cared enough to be benevolent, brave, and kind even though we live in a shitty world.
But yeah Islamic Terrorists seem more noble, and if you asked me 10 years ago I would agree with you, but now as I get older I recongize the illusion this is. Islamic Terrorist are toxic, Incel Terrorists are toxic, trying to argue one is less bad from nobility misses the point. We can not control others, we can not control the external world, but we can be non toxic ourselves as individuals, but if we are trying to argue which is more nontoxic in external things such as external people we are entering a head space that actually makes it harder for us to be noble ourselves, and thus we get lost in the journey of fixing the world one stone at a time while still finding joy in the process of fixing the world one stone at a time.
