Football is the ultimate team sport; between that, revenue sharing, the salary cap, the draft, the players union, player pensions, stadiums co-owned by local cities and, of course, the city-owned Green Bay Packers, pro football is easily the most communist thing in the US. The only reason McCarthy did not have everyone involved lynched half a century ago is that the owners decided on their own to adopt all its collectivist and tree-leveling to prevent (or rather, eliminate) a few wealthy large market teams dominating all the rest and player salaries skyrocketing until the owners were reduced to non-profit CEOs.
