I'm at almost zero television (including Netflix and Amazon) so I've been reading 2-3 hours a day. I need to update my list to reflect that I read Sorel's Réflexions sur la violence (and finished it). I'm actually now reading a book you suggested, 1491 and, although I find the author to be a bit lefty on some things, he does a good job of seeking balance. But to hit 50 I'd need to finish 4 books every month and then add 2 extra somewhere. That's a lot of books. Plus, I still do go out from time to time, though I'm taking a several-month break from alcohol to allow my liver to heal (started December 12 so I'm one month in already).
