I too read dense and often long books and make it to 50 almost all years. Lots of history and I can usually manage to read an hour or more a day. A good amount of science fiction, fantasy, literature, and science books mixed in too. I don't read books in foreign languages, however. If I did in German, my numbers would go way down as my ability to read in German is nowhere near that of my English.
