It's not like this is coming to network TV. I find this fear illogical. Oh, I share some fear and trepidation. But not to the point where I would not even try to bring some of the stories to screen.
Gloom or Melancholy would probably be better words, but I can't put my finger on the word I can "feel" inside my head but I can't remember yet it feels on the tip of my tongue.
(Damn my dyslexia, this is another thing it causes besides frustrations with reading.)

I still have hope though, I just do not invest my hope in things that I feel are overly and heavy handed created by executives, producers, etc. I still have faith in smaller things, things that are more organic. It is about a different subject completely but I am reminded of a Ben Thompson exponent episode for what I am trying to describe.
http://exponent.fm/episode-121-the-uber-mutation/
In it Ben and his co-host Jame start off talking about how Silicon Valley came to be, and it required an organic process. Then he shifts to culture and how culture is important to start ups, and then shifts again to how Uber is now in a situation where the culture is different for the incentives between the startup company and the people who invest in start ups are different.
Greg I am bringing up this unrelated thing for I think you would find this podcast interesting and this is a good starting point.
