It's very clear that affirmative action has screwed over Asians in a huge way, at least as regards college admissions.
I ask that with sincerity, since my observations are different. I used to go to the Science Library at UC Irvine to get some research and stuff done (pre-internet days kids....)
Anyways, there were times when I felt like I was the only non-Asian there. Sure, the students were a huge mixture of Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian, and many from the SE Asia countries....and I was the only Hispanic kid. Some were study abroad students, but I would surmise that most were American.
I would think that more Hispanic/Latin kids were "left behind" then other segments of society.
