I'm not retreating to a keep when I say feminism is about equality of the sexes in response to someone who claims feminism is about making women superior to men (the popular "I'm not a feminist; I'm egalitarian" gambit). Feminism is about equality of the sexes.
If that's all it's about, then fine. I can find hundreds of examples of 'you're not a real feminist unless...' examples, however.
Now, people can reasonably disagree on this, but they shouldn't assume bad faith on my part when I say feminism is about equality. They should engage me about how my positions do or do not support that goal.
Who used the popular "I'm not a feminist, I'm an egalitarian" gambit, here? Who is assuming bad faith?
