Why is this the standard? What models did they use to impose the minimum wage? They didn't. They ordered it by fiat, and never mind that there was no country in the history of the world that had outperformed the US when we decided to go to the minimum wage, to which we could point and say "see, they're doing better". Why does the left get to pull shit out of their asses, but the right has to present hard proof, and never mind that we've been doing our way just fine for most of history?
In any event, there is a genuine moral and lawful principle behind abolishing the minimum wage - namely, the right of people to chose the prices they are willing to pay, and the right to enter into whatever sort of agreement suits their purposes. To abrogate such a fundamental natural human right, you need an ironclad case for the overall benefit to people at large, not just anecdotal evidence of dubious benefits to a particular class of people, in the face of numerous objective experts decrying the practice for observed harm it does to the classes it is intended to benefit (such as increased unemployment among the class people who would be making the least money - Milton Freidman called the minimum wage the most racist law on the books, because of its effect on young black employment rates, which were skyrocketing even as their civil rights and representation were improving everywhere else).
