I feel like breaking your survey and having a conversation instead. Roland00 Send a noteboard - 19/06/2017 01:38:16 AM

Does this mean I am giving you disrespect, or the ultimate respect for I want to give you my full attention?

This feels REALLY weird, by the way. Let’s see if I remember how it works.
  1. When did you first come to wotmania, now RAFO?

Fall of 2003. I can't remember if I signed up with my Roland00 login in in Fall of 2003, Winter of 2003, or Spring of 2004. It was definitely Senior year of high school though.

View original post2. Of all the things which have changed in your life since then, which would surprise that past self the most?

I do not get surprised when I try to look at my ego and how my personality, ego, self changes over the years. Life is full of so many suprises, that I do not get "suprised" / "startled" like I used to when I realize I am not the same me who I was 5 years ago, and so on.

That said I am so thankful for it changing, and people in RAFO / Wotmania are part of the reason of the change. Some of the people I like from RAFO / Wotmania, and I am grateful for, but even the people I dislike often caused a positive change in me...even if they annoyed me / annoys me currently.

This is rude, this is call out culture, but for example Wads. What a PITA, but he is a PITA who made me into a better man. Now there are far better examples than Wads who improved me, but I am not going to talk about them for its too personal and I will feel like a squishy mess.

And in hindsight Wads was not so bad, even though Wads had a way of grating my gears

View original post3. Which former member(s) would you most like to see posting again?

So many choices, but honestly I should let fate decide, for it is the people who you least expect that cause the most profound change in you. It is the newbies, and the oldies that are so old you did not know they existed until they suddenly rise out of the earth and remind you that they still exist.

Aka the Ents of RAFO / Wotmania. Now lets play Last March of the Ents

4. Which former member(s) are you most curious about? (In terms of where they ended up, etc.)

That will be telling, and thus will be personal.

5. Tell me about something new you tried lately (author, food, product, experience, anything) that impressed you with its awesomeness.

Okay this is not something I tried lately, but I learned that it is Ozymandias king of kings that is the creator of all modern society. In a way. This is because he built the outer area of the temple of Luxor, and when you combine the outer area and the inner area of the temple of Luxor, there are lots of wisdoms and maxims.

Well one of the maxims is the precursor of Know Thyself. Which after the Egyptian Temple of Luxor, a 1000 years later appears as one of the maxims of the oracle of Delphi, and through this it inspired dozens of greek philosophers such as Pythagoras, Plato, and Socrates. It leads to the Socratic Method (for Know Thyself leads to I Know Nothing) and thus human civilization is made via the same guy we think fades away (another famous temple of Ozymandias King of Kings aka Ramasse the II, inspires the Shelly poem, this other temple is on the other side of the nile and was named House of millions of years of Usermaatra-setepenra that unites with Thebes-the-city in the domain of Amon. Yet this house of a million years is in ruins, yet the Luxor Temple still stands, the Royal Ka, the idea of a king temple still stands )

All of this is to say you are never ever going to be forgotten, and even when you are forgotten you made a difference, but it is never what you think was important but something else that cause the profound change.

Aka these links for more info.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luxor_Temple

And edit I forgot to include this youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHGIGwiMK6c

6. Do you keep a regular journal/diary? Have you ever done so?

No I do not keep a diary, for the world that constantly recreates me, not my memories of the past which I want to touch base with.

7. Describe your dream home library.

Beauty and the Beast library used to be my dream. Now it is something more like a warm hobbit hole, with a fictional dog I have yet to adopt, and a warm fire, and a comfortable high back chair.

8. If you could learn any language overnight, which would it be?

Proto Indo European, since we really do not know this language, we just try to reconstruct it. But this Proto Language is the origin of 450+ other languages, and about 49% of the world's population speaks a deriative of Proto Indo European.

So besides learning the language, I can teach it to others and insight to our history like a rosetta stone, but it may also be half useful in modern usage for even though grammar and pronunciation are different with these 450+ other languages I bet it will make it easier to learn other languages via follow up.

Effectively I want to learn the pre babel language that unites us all. Except Babel is a myth and did not literally happen as the story is told in mythology.

9. What is your favorite mixed drink?

So not my favorite drink, but this very second I am drinking Walmart's Great Value Cherry Limade Artifical Drink Mix. I been being healthier lately, drinking more die products, and more drink mixes and if I need caffeine combine a 1/2 or a 1/3rd of a caffeine pill instead of drinking more soda or more coffee and messing with my stomach with all the acidity. Now of course water is better, but water lacks flavor.

As for my favorite drink I am a vodka man. That said I now have to be pickier with my liquors for my doctor wants me to stay away from wheat products even though probably that fear should not apply to alcohol based off of wheat and just more of the "raw wheat" stuff which my body can't process well. Aka a recent development of the last 5 years.

10. If you could go back in time to yourself at any age and deliver some advice (with assurances that your actions would not trigger any world-ending paradoxes), what would it be?

Somehow prevent the Bronze Dark Age. Not because this is probably the best choice, but at the time of this writting I was thinking Egypt and Greece, and arguably the Bronze Dark Age collapse caused more lost of knowledge and culture than the fall of the Roman Empire and that subsequent Dark Age.

------

So what is up with you Clover? Surveys are great, conversations are better.

And if you say nothing much, I will counter and follow up via asking what dog breed should someone get you as another companion to go with your rainbow bracelet?

Wait you do not have a rainbow bracelet, but instead a rainbow snowflake card?

Do you have a thing against bracelets or you just prefer other forms of Jewelry?
