I logged on to Wotmania for the first time in 2001, it´s been a few years since then.
I was 21, just met my boyfriend, and we had moved in together, I was getting a education, well, several educations actually. Never deciding what to do for the rest of my life. Smoked like a chimney, slept most of the days, and chatted through the nights since the best people was a good 8 hours behind me because of the timedifference
I read 3 books a week, and spent all my money on geeky stuff as collectors figurines, art and traveled.
Fast forward til today.
Boyfriend is now husband, 10 years and counting. We have 3 boys, and I am considering starting yet another education this fall, a bachelors degree in archival science. I´ve worked as an archivist for 7 years now, might as well get it formalized. I am never up late anymore, and I haven´t chatted with anyone outside of Facebook for at least 8 years. I kind of miss that. I don´t smoke, but I´m not the picture of health, since I prefer World of Warcraft to exercise
Life is diffrent, it´s more hectic, and it is also more calm. My boys takes up most of my time, but the youngest is now 4, so even if they are time consuming, they are not as exhausting as they where 2 years ago.
I don´t read much anymore, I start reading books, and then I forgett them. I listen to podcasts at work, but books are hard to get through. I never buy geekstuff, the kids either break them, or I don´t have room for it. Travelling is done through the job if I´m lucky
I still prefer this time to the 20´s, I´ve made my self a nice pack, I´m the alfa of course , and I love, love, love working! It´s very satisfying to do something so meaningful, and get paid for it too
So how are things with you compared to when you first arrived at wotmania/RAFO?
